About Loving Longmont

A whole town to discover.

Loving Longmont was created with the belief that supporting small businesses and local entrepreneurs helps keep our community strong. Each of us has something unique to offer—talents that come naturally, skills developed through experience, and ideas shaped by our lives. For many small business owners, turning those abilities into a business is a dream come true. It is a chance to build something of their own, serve others, and contribute to the community they call home.

We want to share the stories behind those businesses: who the owners are, what inspired them to begin, and what makes their work unique. A business is more than a name, a storefront, or a list of services. It represents someone’s creativity, commitment, and hope for the future. Getting to know the people behind it gives us a deeper connection to the places we shop, the services we choose, and the neighbors we support.

Loving Longmont brings those stories together with local businesses, events, activities, and community resources in one easy-to-browse place. Our goal is to help residents and visitors discover what is around them, make meaningful connections, and support the people working to build their dreams. When we help local businesses grow, we help our community grow stronger, too.

The People Behind the Project

I’m Michelle Skolyak, and I started Loving Longmont in 2021 after moving to the area. I wanted a place where people could discover their community, share what they love, and connect with local businesses.

My son, Tim Skolyak, and I later created MKT Visibility to help small business owners share their work and reach more customers. Building a business of our own was a dream, too, and we understand how much it means to turn your skills and ideas into something you can call yours. Together, we bring our experience and creativity to helping other owners tell their stories and become easier to find.

Loving Longmont brings that purpose into the community: helping people discover local businesses and get to know the people behind them.
